Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

 

Upon landing in Kathmandu, our team from Nona Getaways will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing or taking a stroll around the vibrant Thamel area. In the evening, we’ll gather for a trek briefing to discuss logistics, gear checks, and provide cultural insights for the Lower Manaslu region and enjoy the welcome dinner . This is a great time to ask questions and meet your fellow trekkers before the journey begins.

Day 2: Drive to Kurintar, Trek to Ghairung (1170m)

 

We leave Kathmandu early and drive along the Trishuli River to Kurintar. After a scenic lunch stop, we begin our short trek to Ghairung. The trail winds through terraced hills, rural farmlands, and scattered Gurung villages. Upon arrival, settle into your first homestay and experience authentic Nepalese hospitality in a tranquil setting surrounded by green hills and farming terraces.

Day 3: Trek from Ghairung to Gorkha Bazaar (1060m)

 

A gentle trek today takes us through lush hills and small villages. You’ll observe traditional lifestyles, terraced farming, and unique architecture as we head toward Gorkha Bazaar—the historical seat of Nepal’s unification. The afternoon is free to explore the market area, interact with locals, and relax in this culturally rich hillside town.

Day 4: Gorkha Durbar Excursion

 

We explore the historical heart of Gorkha by hiking to the Gorkha Durbar (palace) complex, perched above the town. Visit the revered Kalika Temple and learn about King Prithvi Narayan Shah’s legacy. The hilltop also offers panoramic views of the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges. The rest of the day is free for market visits or engaging with local life.

Day 5: Trek from Gorkha to Sirandanda (1990m)

 

Today’s trail gradually climbs through forests, farmlands, and scattered villages to reach Sirandanda—a peaceful eco-tourism village. Enjoy the tranquility, fresh mountain air, and warm welcome from the community. This ridge-top village boasts panoramic views of Buddha Himal and the surrounding valleys, making it a perfect stop for cultural connection and relaxation.

Day 6: Trek from Sirandanda to Barpak (1915m)

 

The day’s route continues through dense forests and terraced fields to Barpak, a village known for its resilience after the 2015 earthquake. Now rebuilt as a model community, Barpak features uniform stone houses, community infrastructure, and stunning Himalayan views. Spend the evening learning about its inspiring recovery and warm Gurung hospitality.

Day 7: Trek from Barpak to Laprak (2100m)

 

We ascend to a high ridge offering stunning views before descending to Laprak, a scenic Gurung village rebuilt post-earthquake. The trail includes a long suspension bridge and passes through pine forests and remote farmland. Laprak’s distinct architecture and spiritual ambiance offer deep insight into traditional mountain life.

Day 8: Trek from Laprak to Nambai Kharka (2700m)

 

Our route leads uphill through rhododendron and bamboo forests to the alpine pasture of Nambai Kharka. This peaceful meadow, surrounded by towering peaks, serves as a summer grazing area for local herders. It’s the highest point of the trek and offers solitude, pristine nature, and incredible views of Buddha Himal.

Day 9: Trek from Nambai Kharka to Tallo Thotneri (1685m)

 

We descend from high alpine terrain through dense forests and vibrant hillsides to reach the quiet village of Tallo Thotneri. Along the way, you’ll pass remote farms, wildlife-rich woodlands, and terraced hills. Enjoy a peaceful night with a local family in a traditional rural homestay setting.

Day 10: Trek to Gyampesal (1000m)

 

The final trekking day takes us through serene forests and open hills toward Gyampesal. As the trail winds through fertile valleys, enjoy the last views of mid-hill Nepal and reflect on your cultural and natural journey. At Gyampesal, relax and celebrate the successful completion of this peaceful eco trek.

Day 11: Drive from Gyampesal to Kathmandu (1400m)

 

After breakfast, we board a private vehicle and drive back to Kathmandu, passing through beautiful countryside, rivers, and small towns. Upon arrival, return to your hotel for a warm shower and free time to rest, shop, or explore the city.

Day 12: Final Departure

 

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Leave with wonderful memories of the Lower Manaslu Eco Trail—its welcoming people, hidden landscapes, and a rare glimpse of Nepal’s authentic rural life.
