Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)



Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. In the evening, we’ll hold a trek briefing to go over the route, answer questions, and introduce your guide. Enjoy a traditional welcome dinner with local flavors.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m) – 7–8 hrs



Leaving the bustle of Kathmandu, we drive north along winding roads, passing through terraced fields, charming villages, and lush hillsides. The drive offers your first views of the Himalayas. Arrive at the trailhead in Syabrubesi by evening, ready to begin the trek the following day.

Day 3: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,460m) – 6 hrs



We cross a suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River and enter the Langtang Valley. The trail ascends steadily through thick forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron. Keep an eye out for monkeys and red pandas. We end the day at Lama Hotel, nestled in a tranquil forested gorge.

Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,450m) – 6 hrs

The path continues uphill alongside the Langtang Khola. The forest thins, revealing open meadows and the first glimpses of snowy peaks. After a rest at Ghodatabela, we continue to Langtang Village, a settlement rich in Tibetan culture and prayer flags fluttering in the wind.

Day 5: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) – 4 hrs



Today’s hike is shorter but incredibly scenic. We walk past stone-built walls, yak pastures, and colorful mani walls before reaching Kyanjin Gompa, home to a centuries-old monastery. The mountain views here are breathtaking, and you’ll have time to acclimatize and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 6: Exploration Day in Kyanjin Gompa (Hike to Tsergo Ri or Kyanjin Ri)



Today is set aside for acclimatization and exploration. Hike to Tsergo Ri (4,984m) for panoramic views of Langtang Lirung which is longer in distance, or opt for the shorter Kyanjin Ri viewpoint according to your strength in trekking. In the afternoon, visit the local monastery and cheese factory. This is a perfect day to soak in the spiritual beauty of the valley.

Day 7: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,460m) – 6 hrs



We retrace our steps down the Langtang Valley. The descent offers a more relaxed pace and allows for new perspectives of the landscapes we passed. Stop for lunch en route and enjoy the peaceful sound of the river as we return to Lama Hotel.

Day 8: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,250m) – 6 hrs



From Lama Hotel, the trail descends briefly before ascending to Thulo Syabru, a charming village perched on a ridge. This area offers stunning views of Ganesh Himal and excellent opportunities to experience Tamang hospitality and culture.

Day 9: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3,330m) – 5 hrs



The trail climbs steadily through forests of pine and rhododendron. As you gain altitude, the views open up dramatically. We reach Shin Gompa, home to a small monastery and local cheese production. The peaceful surroundings make it a lovely overnight stop.

Day 10: Trek from Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,380m) – 6 hrs



A beautiful but challenging climb awaits today. We trek through alpine landscapes, with panoramic mountain views along the ridge. By afternoon, we reach the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, surrounded by rugged peaks. It’s a spiritually significant place and incredibly serene.

Day 11: Trek from Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3,430m) via Laurebina La Pass (4,610m) – 7 hrs



We make an early start for the most demanding day of the trek. The ascent to Laurebina La Pass is steep but rewards with sweeping vistas. The trail then descends sharply through rocky terrain to Ghopte, where we rest for the night.

Day 12: Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2,470m) – 6 hrs



Today’s trail winds through thick rhododendron and fir forests, with occasional clearings offering views of the Helambu region. We pass the settlement of Thadepati before descending to Kutumsang, a quiet village surrounded by greenery.

Day 13: Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2,165m) – 6 hrs



As we continue south, the trail moves through rural villages and terraced fields. Today is filled with cultural interactions and gentle walking through forested hills. Chisapani, our last trekking stop, offers beautiful sunset views over the Himalayas.

Day 14: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal (1,460m) – 4 hrs & Drive to Kathmandu – 1 hr



We complete our trek with a descent through Shivapuri National Park, passing through cool forest and occasional waterfalls. On reaching Sundarijal, we drive back to Kathmandu and enjoy the comforts of the city after days in the mountains.

Day 15: Final Departure



Depending on your flight time, we will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. You’ll leave with incredible memories of mountain landscapes, cultural insights, and spiritual tranquility from the Langtang and Gosaikunda regions.
