Nepal offers some of the world’s most stunning trekking routes, with the best seasons being autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May). During autumn, clear skies, mild temperatures, and minimal rainfall create ideal conditions for trekking. This season is the most popular among trekkers, as the views of the Himalayan peaks are crisp and breathtaking. Not only is the weather favorable, but autumn also coincides with Nepal’s major festivals, such as Dashain and Tihar, which provide travelers with a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant cultural atmosphere of the country.
Spring is another excellent season for trekking in Nepal, as the moderate weather allows comfortable hiking while surrounding landscapes come alive with blooming rhododendrons and wildflowers. Although spring can bring occasional pre-monsoon rains, it is generally dry and clear, with temperatures that gradually warm as the season progresses. This period is especially great for routes such as the Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit, as the trails are less crowded than in autumn, yet still offer spectacular mountain views.
