Itinerary

 
 

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Nona Getaways will warmly welcome and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day resting or strolling around the lively Thamel area. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine. You’ll also receive a detailed trek briefing and meet your guide and fellow trekkers.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani (1,860m) – 9–10 hrs

Embark on a scenic drive along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, passing terraced fields and picturesque villages. Enjoy views of lush hills, waterfalls, and rising peaks as we journey deep into the Annapurna region. We overnight in Dharapani, a key starting point for trekkers.

Day 3: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,610m) – 5–6 hrs

Our trek begins with a steady climb through pine forests and villages like Bagarchhap and Danaque. Stunning vistas of Lamjung Himal emerge as we follow the Marsyangdi River. We reach Chame, Manang’s district headquarters.

Day 4: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300m) – 5–6 hrs

We ascend through rhododendron and pine forests, crossing thrilling suspension bridges. A highlight is the immense Paungda Danda rock face towering over the valley. At Upper Pisang, enjoy incredible mountain views, especially of Annapurna II.

Day 5: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540m) – 6–7 hrs

Trekking the high route through Ghyaru and Ngawal offers dramatic vistas of the Annapurna range. Traditional villages and ancient monasteries enrich the cultural experience. We descend into the broad Manang Valley, surrounded by soaring peaks.

Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Manang (3,540m)

A vital rest day to adjust to the altitude. Explore scenic side hikes to Gangapurna Lake or Chongkor Viewpoint, with rewarding Himalayan views. Visit ancient monasteries or attend a talk at the Himalayan Rescue Association.

Day 7: Trek from Manang to Ledar (4,200m) – 4–5 hrs

The trail climbs gently past yak pastures and windswept slopes with sparse vegetation. We pass through Yak Kharka and continue to Ledar, a small outpost in the alpine wilderness, setting the stage for the approach to Thorong La.

Day 8: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,525m) or High Camp (4,925m) – 4–5 hrs

Trek through rocky terrain, gaining altitude gradually. Reach Thorong Phedi or push to High Camp if well-acclimatized. The barren landscapes, high cliffs, and occasional sightings of blue sheep define this high-altitude zone.

Day 9: Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416m), Trek to Muktinath, Drive to Jomsom – 8–9 hrs trek + 1 hr drive

Start early for the epic climb to Thorong La Pass, rewarded with breathtaking Himalayan panoramas. Descend to the sacred site of Muktinath, then drive to Jomsom—a windy town in the Kali Gandaki Valley.

Day 10: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (822m)

Take a thrilling mountain flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, offering aerial views of the world’s deepest gorge and snow-capped peaks. Relax near Phewa Lake and enjoy Pokhara’s lakeside cafes and peaceful surroundings.

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu – 7–8 hrs

Enjoy a scenic overland journey back to Kathmandu, retracing your way through green hills and river valleys. After hotel check-in, you’re free to explore Thamel or unwind before your departure.

Day 12: Final Departure

Your unforgettable Annapurna journey concludes today. Depending on your flight time, we’ll arrange a smooth transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. Carry home memories of towering peaks and rich Himalayan culture.
