This 20-day journey combines the legendary Everest Base Camp trek with the thrilling ascent of Lobuche East Peak (6,119m). After flying to Lukla, the trek ascends through the heart of the Khumbu region — Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche — offering immersive views and Sherpa culture. At Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, trekkers experience unmatched Himalayan vistas before preparing for the Lobuche Peak climb. With the guidance of experienced climbing Sherpas and a night at High Camp, the summit push rewards you with 360° views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and beyond. Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Nona Getaways representative and transferred to your 5-star hotel. In the evening, a pre-trek briefing is held with your guides to finalize gear and logistics. You’ll also enjoy a welcome dinner showcasing authentic Nepali cuisine. This is a day to relax and prepare for the high-altitude adventure ahead. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 – Fly to Lukla (2,860m), Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

 

A morning drive takes you to Manthali (Ramechhap) airport for a scenic flight to Lukla. After landing, the trek begins with a gentle descent through forests and Sherpa villages to reach Phakding. Enjoy views of Kusum Kanguru along the Dudh Koshi River. It’s a pleasant 3–4 hour walk, ideal for settling into the trail.

Day 3 – Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Following the Dudh Koshi, you’ll cross several suspension bridges including the famous Hillary Bridge. A steep ascent through pine forests leads you to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital. Along the way, you may spot glimpses of Everest. Spend the evening exploring local bakeries, shops, or the Sherpa museum.

Day 4 – Acclimatization Day in Namche (Hike to Everest View Hotel)

To aid acclimatization, hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Visit Khumjung village and its historic monastery. Return to Namche for a restful afternoon. Staying active at altitude helps your body adapt for higher elevations.

Day 5 – Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)

A scenic trail leads along ridges with incredible mountain panoramas. After a lunch stop at Phunki Tenga, the path ascends through pine and rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual hub of the Khumbu, framed by Ama Dablam.

Day 6 – Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)

Today’s trail descends to Debuche before crossing the Imja River. You’ll pass Pangboche, the highest permanent Sherpa settlement, and continue into alpine terrain toward Dingboche. The stunning Ama Dablam towers on your right throughout the trek.

Day 7 – Acclimatization Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m)

Take a rest and acclimatization day with a hike up Nangkartshang Peak. This vantage point offers views of Makalu, Island Peak, and Lhotse. Returning to Dingboche, spend the afternoon relaxing and hydrating. This is essential for high-altitude success ahead.

Day 8 – Trek to Lobuche (4,910m)

As you gain altitude, the landscape becomes more rugged and glacial. Trek past Thukla and the poignant memorials to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. Continue along the moraine to reach Lobuche, surrounded by snow-clad peaks.

Day 9 – Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), Overnight in Gorak Shep (5,140m)

After a morning trek to Gorak Shep, continue to Everest Base Camp. Walk along the Khumbu Glacier, surrounded by massive ice walls and peaks. Take time to explore the base of the world’s tallest mountain before returning to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10 – Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m), Return to Lobuche

Start early to hike up Kala Patthar for the best sunrise views of Everest, Nuptse, and Pumori. This is the highest trekking point. After taking photos, descend to Gorak Shep, then retrace steps back to Lobuche for overnight.

Day 11 – Trek to Lobuche Base Camp (4,950m)

Leave the main EBC trail and head toward Lobuche Base Camp. The trail turns more rugged with increasing elevation. Your guides will provide a climbing briefing and distribute mountaineering gear including harnesses, crampons, and helmets.

Day 12 – Trek to High Camp (5,400m)

Climb to Lobuche High Camp over rocky terrain. After setting up camp, you’ll receive final instructions on rope techniques and summit prep. The rest of the day is for rest and acclimatization at high altitude. Early dinner and sleep ahead of summit push.

Day 13 – Summit Lobuche Peak (6,119m), Return to Base Camp

Start pre-dawn (1–2 AM) using headlamps and ropes as needed. After a tough glacier climb, reach the summit with 360° views of Everest, Lhotse, Pumori, and more. Descend carefully to High Camp and onward to Base Camp for a hard-earned rest.

Day 14 – Contingency Day (In Case of Bad Weather)

This extra day is kept for summit delays due to poor weather or altitude issues. If unused, you can spend the day relaxing or slowly descending. Flexibility is essential in mountain climbing.

Day 15 – Trek to Pangboche (3,930m)

 

Start the descent, moving through alpine meadows and familiar villages. Arrive in Pangboche, home to a historic monastery and splendid views of the valley. Enjoy the warmer, thicker air.

Day 16 – Trek to Namche Bazaar

 

Retrace your steps to Namche, where you can celebrate your achievements with a bakery visit or a relaxing afternoon. It’s a chance to reflect on your journey before exiting the high mountains.

Day 17 – Trek to Lukla

Descend past Jorsalle, Monjo, and Phakding, crossing the Dudh Koshi one last time. Reach Lukla, where you’ll enjoy a final dinner with your guides and porters.

Day 18 – Fly to Manthali, Drive to Kathmandu

Take a morning flight from Lukla to Manthali Airport, then drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is yours to relax at your hotel or enjoy local cafes and souvenir shops.

Day 19 – Free Day in Kathmandu

Enjoy a full leisure day for sightseeing, shopping, or massage therapy. Optional excursions to Bhaktapur, Patan, or the Garden of Dreams are available. A perfect day to unwind after your adventure.

Day 20 – Departure from Kathmandu

You’ll be transferred to the airport for your international flight. Say farewell to Nepal, carrying memories of a challenging and rewarding Himalayan experience.
