You’ll begin your journey with a thrilling flight to Lukla, then follow the Dudh Koshi River through lush forests and over suspension bridges to reach Namche Bazaar—the gateway to Everest. From there, ascend gradually through Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and finally arrive at Everest Base Camp itself.
Whether you’re chasing the thrill of standing in Everest’s shadow or seeking spiritual and cultural immersion, this trek promises the experience of a lifetime.
Everest Base Camp Trek – 15 Days
Guided Lodge Trek | Himalayan Adventure with Full Support
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) & Transfer to Hotel
We warmly welcome you to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a Nona Getaways representative will greet and transfer you to your hotel. Take the afternoon to relax. In the evening, we gather for a pre-trek briefing where you’ll receive a souvenir bag, sleeping bag, and a down/fiberfill jacket. Later, we head out together for a welcome Nepali dinner, a perfect way to bond with fellow adventurers.
Day 2: Scenic Drive to Ramechhap (5 hrs) & Fly to Lukla – Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
We drive through beautiful terraced hillsides and villages to reach Ramechhap, from where we board a short mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. After landing on one of the world’s most thrilling airstrips, we begin our trek with a gentle walk to the riverside village of Phakding.
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
We follow the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. The trail climbs gradually through pine forests and small villages until we reach the iconic Hillary Bridge. As we ascend, we catch our first glimpse of Mount Everest—an unforgettable moment. We arrive at Namche Bazaar, the lively Sherpa hub nestled in a natural amphitheater.
Day 4: Trek to Dibuche (3,870m) via Tengboche Monastery
Today, the trail rewards us with majestic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the striking Ama Dablam. We pass through rhododendron forests and the spiritual center of Tengboche Monastery, perched atop a ridge. After exploring the monastery, we descend slightly to the serene village of Dibuche.
Day 5: Trek to Dingboche (4,243m)
Crossing the Imja Khola via a suspension bridge, we pass Pangboche, one of the oldest Sherpa villages. The alpine landscape opens up, framed by the towering presence of Ama Dablam. Reaching the stone-walled fields of Dingboche, we find ourselves in a tranquil mountain setting perfect for rest and reflection.
Day 6: Acclimatization Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m)
A crucial acclimatization day. We hike up Nangkartshang Peak for jaw-dropping views of Lhotse, Makalu, and Island Peak. Colorful prayer flags flutter in the high winds as we take in the grandeur of the Himalayas. We descend back to Dingboche for a restful evening.
Day 7: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)
The path winds through alpine meadows toward Dughla, then climbs the emotional Thukla Pass, where memorials honor climbers who perished on Everest. We then follow the Khumbu Glacier to reach the stark beauty of Lobuche, surrounded by towering Himalayan giants.
Day 8: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – Return to Gorakshep (5,170m)
One of the most thrilling days. We hike over rocky moraines alongside the Khumbu Glacier, finally reaching Everest Base Camp—a dream for trekkers worldwide. Surrounded by glacial ice, prayer flags, and towering peaks, we celebrate before trekking back to Gorakshep.
Day 9: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Descend to Pheriche (4,371m)
We start early to summit Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for a panoramic sunrise over Everest and its surrounding peaks. The descent takes us back through Gorakshep and on to Pheriche, where the air is richer and the trail more relaxed.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar
We retrace our steps through Pangboche and Tengboche, with lush forests, alpine meadows, and familiar mountain views guiding our way. Arriving back in Namche Bazaar feels like returning home, with its lively vibe and cozy lodges.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla
Our final day on the trail. We pass through villages, over roaring rivers, and through rhododendron forests. As we arrive in Lukla, a sense of joyful accomplishment settles in—it’s here our trek began, and now ends.
Day 12: Fly to Ramechhap & Drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we board a short scenic flight to Ramechhap, followed by a drive back to Kathmandu. The contrast between mountain wilderness and city life is striking.
Day 13: Massage & Roaming Day in Kathmandu
After days of adventure, today is yours to relax and recharge. Indulge in a soothing massage or spa treatment, then lose yourself in the vibrant energy of Kathmandu. Stroll through the bustling alleys of Thamel, discover local crafts, or enjoy a quiet moment with a cup of Himalayan coffee in a rooftop café. It’s the perfect day to shop for souvenirs, reflect on your journey, or simply breathe it all in.
Day 14: Departure Day – Transfer to International Airport
After breakfast, we transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Carry with you the memories of snow-capped peaks, spiritual moments, and new friendships forged along Himalayan trails.
