📅 Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu
You’re welcomed by a Nona Getaways representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, we hold a trek briefing. Then enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner with your team.
Day 2 – Scenic Drive to Salleri (2,360m)
We drive deep into the hills of Solu, passing through lush valleys, winding rivers, and Himalayan foothills. As the elevation rises, you begin to feel the magic of the mountains.
Day 3 – Drive to Surkhey & Trek to Phakding (2,730m)
From Salleri, a jeep takes us to Surkhey. We begin our trek here, walking through pine forests, stone paths, and small settlements before reaching the riverside village of Phakding.
Day 4 – Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Following the Dudh Koshi River, we cross suspension bridges, pass waterfalls and ascend through forested trails to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital.
Day 5 – Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
A vital rest day to adjust to the altitude. We take a short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for panoramic views of Everest and Ama Dablam, and visit the local museum.
Day 6 – Trek to Dibuche (3,870m) via Tengboche
The trail leads through rhododendron forests and into the spiritual heart of the region—Tengboche Monastery. After visiting, we descend to peaceful Dibuche.
Day 7 – Trek to Dingboche (4,243m)
We cross the Imja River and pass Pangboche village. The scenery becomes alpine with dry landscapes, stone walls, and massive peaks. Ama Dablam dominates the view.
Day 8 – Acclimatization Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m)
We ascend to a popular high point for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Island Peak. A valuable day to let your body adapt while taking in epic scenery.
Day 9 – Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)
We ascend gradually through the high-altitude desert, pass memorials at Thukla Pass, and continue along the Khumbu Glacier to reach the remote settlement of Lobuche.
Day 10 – Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) & Return to Gorakshep (5,170m)
A highlight day. We trek to Everest Base Camp, capturing the legendary icefall and flags fluttering in the cold wind. After celebrating, we return to Gorakshep.
Day 11 – Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Descend to Pheriche (4,371m)
We hike early to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for Everest’s true summit. After sunrise, we descend gradually to Pheriche—a welcome drop in altitude.
Day 12 – Trek to Namche Bazaar
Back on familiar trails through Pangboche and Tengboche. Descending through forest and village paths, we arrive at Namche for another cozy evening.
Day 13 – Rest & Exploration Day in Namche Bazaar
We take a well-deserved rest day. Options include coffee shops, local bakeries, shopping for handicrafts, or even visiting the school and hospital funded by the Himalayan Trust.
Day 14 – Trek to Chaurikharka (2,620m)
Today we descend further past Monjo and Phakding, heading toward Chaurikharka, a peaceful village perched above Lukla. This lesser-used stop offers tranquility and rich Sherpa culture.
Day 15 – Trek to Tham Danda & Drive to Salleri
The final morning on foot brings us to Tham Danda, where our jeep is waiting. We enjoy a rugged but scenic ride back to Salleri, descending from the clouds.
Day 16 – Drive to Kathmandu
A full-day scenic drive through hills and valleys brings us back to Kathmandu. Take in the changing landscapes as you reflect on your epic journey.
Day 17 – Free Day in Kathmandu (Optional)
Enjoy your free day to relax, explore Thamel, shop for souvenirs, or visit local cafés. Optional spa or massage can also be arranged.
Day 18 – Departure
We’ll transfer you to the international airport for your onward journey. You leave with unforgettable memories, friendships, and the mountains forever etched in your heart.
