TRIP OVERVIEW
The Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes Trek is more than just a high-altitude adventure — it’s an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Himalayas and the soul of Sherpa culture.
This trek takes you deep into the Khumbu region, home to Mount Everest (8,848m) and a world shaped by snow-capped peaks, ancient monasteries, and warm village hospitality. You’ll walk the same trails once taken by legends like Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, passing through forests, across swinging bridges, and into timeless Sherpa settlements.
Along the way, we’ll acclimatize in the bustling town of Namche Bazaar — a perfect mix of tradition and trekking culture — before continuing to the Everest Base Camp itself. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain is a moment few forget.
But what makes this route truly special is the detour to the Gokyo Lakes — a series of stunning turquoise glacial lakes considered sacred by locals. From Gokyo Ri, you’ll see one of the best panoramic views in the entire Himalayas, with Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu all visible in one frame.
Expect early mornings, rewarding climbs, incredible scenery, and genuine encounters with local life. This is the kind of trek that leaves you with more than just photographs — it leaves you with perspective.
