This 20-day Himalayan journey blends the legendary Everest Base Camp trek with a summit of Island Peak (6,189m) β Nepalβs most sought-after trekking peak. Itβs the perfect challenge for trekkers looking to transition into mountaineering.
After a scenic mountain flight to Lukla, follow the iconic trail through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche to reach Everest Base Camp and the sunrise viewpoint of Kala Patthar. From there, diverge into the stunning Imja Valley toward Island Peak Base Camp, surrounded by glaciers and Himalayan giants.
Guided by certified climbing professionals, youβll ascend snow slopes using fixed ropes, crampons, and a harness to reach the summit. From the top, panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Baruntse reward your effort and courage.

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu (1,400m)
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival in Kathmandu, youβll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After some rest, explore the bustling streets of Thamel or simply relax. In the evening, meet your guide and fellow trekkers for a detailed briefing over a welcome dinner. The excitement begins!
Day 2: Drive to Manthali (~5 hrs), Fly to Lukla (2,828m), Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
We begin early with a drive through scenic countryside to Manthali Airport, followed by a short, thrilling flight to Lukla. Our trekking journey starts as we descend through pine forests and Sherpa villages, walking alongside the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding.
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Crossing suspension bridges and entering Sagarmatha National Park, we ascend through pine forests. A final steep climb rewards us with the first glimpse of Mt. Everest before arriving in Namche BazaarβSherpa capital of the Khumbu. Explore the vibrant village and enjoy the mountain views.
Day 4: Acclimatization Hike (Everest View Hotel / Khumjung)
Today we hike to the Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. Continue to Khumjung village, rich in Sherpa culture. This hike helps us acclimatize while experiencing the highland lifestyle.
Day 5: Trek to Tengboche / Dibuche (3,870m)
We descend and cross rivers before climbing through rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual heart of the Khumbu. After a peaceful visit, we continue to the quiet village of Dibuche for the night.
Day 6: Trek to Dingboche (4,243m)
Crossing the Imja Khola, we climb past Pangboche and Shomare, leaving the tree line behind. Entering a dramatic alpine environment, we arrive in Dingboche, surrounded by stunning Himalayan views.
Day 7: Acclimatization Hike (Nangkartshang Peak 5,083m)
We ascend to Nangkartshang Peak for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Island Peak. This challenging yet rewarding hike aids our acclimatization before returning to rest in Dingboche.
Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)
The trail climbs to the memorials at Thukla Pass, honoring climbers lost on Everest. Surrounded by glaciers and massive peaks, we continue to Lobuche, a windswept village near the Khumbu Glacier.
Day 9: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), Return to Gorakshep (5,170m)
Today is the big day! We follow the rocky trail along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Everest Base Camp. After celebrating this milestone, we return to Gorakshep for a well-earned rest.
Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m), Return to Dingboche
An early hike to Kala Patthar offers a stunning sunrise over Everest and neighboring peaks. After soaking in the views, we descend through glacial terrain to return to Dingboche, preparing for our next challenge.
Day 11: Trek to Chhukung (4,730m)
Heading deeper into the Imja Valley, we trek through alpine scenery and glacial moraines to Chhukung. The views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Amphu Laptsa are mesmerizing. A peaceful evening sets the tone for the climb ahead.
Day 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5,100m)
We leave civilization behind and trek into a stark, glacial wilderness toward Base Camp. After arrival, we rest and review climbing techniques with our guides to prepare for the summit.
Day 13: Climb Island Peak (6,189m), Return to Chhukung
Summit day starts pre-dawn. Using fixed ropes and crampons, we ascend snowy slopes to the peak. From the top, enjoy breathtaking 360Β° views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and more. After the climb, we descend to Chhukung to rest.
Day 14: Contingency Day (Weather/Health Buffer)
Reserved for unforeseen delays due to weather or altitude. If unused, this becomes a relaxing exploration day or return to Pangboche for a slower descent.
Day 15: Trek to Pangboche (3,985m)
We retrace our steps down the Imja Valley to Pangboche, home to the oldest monastery in the region and framed by incredible views of Ama Dablam.
Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar
The trail descends through forests and villages, leading us back to bustling Namche Bazaar. Enjoy hot food, cozy lodges, and a bit of civilization again.
Day 17: Trek to Lukla
Our final day of trekking takes us back through familiar terrain along the Dudh Koshi River. In Lukla, we reflect on our unforgettable journey and celebrate with the team.
Day 18: Fly to Manthali, Drive to Kathmandu
An early flight returns us to Manthali, followed by a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Rest and enjoy comforts of the city.
Day 19: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Discover UNESCO World Heritage sites: Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner.
Day 20: Final Departure
With lasting memories and mountain spirit in your heart, itβs time to say goodbye. We transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Namaste!
