Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

 

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will transfer you to your hotel in the vibrant district of Thamel. You’ll meet your trekking guide and receive a full briefing on the adventure ahead. Spend the evening resting or strolling around the bustling local markets and enjoy  welcome dinner.

Accommodation: 3-star hotel in Kathmandu

 

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu (1400m) to Syabrubesi (1460m) – 7–8 hrs

 

After breakfast, we drive north along a scenic route that winds through hills, river valleys, and terraced villages. The drive ends at Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley. Rest and prepare for your trek the next day.

Day 3: Trek from Syabrubesi (1460m) to Lama Hotel (2460m) – 6 hrs

 

The trail follows the Langtang Khola, ascending gradually through rhododendron and oak forests. You’ll pass quaint Tamang settlements and cross suspension bridges before reaching Lama Hotel, nestled in a forested gorge.

Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel (2460m) to Langtang Village (3450m) – 6 hrs

 

As we ascend further, the forest thins and reveals views of snow-capped peaks. After crossing Ghodatabela, the trail passes through yak pastures and landslide areas before reaching Langtang Village, home to Tibetan-influenced Tamang communities.

Day 5: Trek from Langtang Village (3450m) to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) – 4 hrs

We follow a short and scenic route through alpine meadows to Kyanjin Gompa. Surrounded by towering peaks, this spiritual village is home to ancient monasteries and yak cheese factories. Enjoy your first clear views of Langtang Lirung.

Day 6: Exploration Day at Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

 

A rest and acclimatization day at Kyanjin. You can hike up to Tserko Ri (4985m) for sunrise views, or visit Langshisha Kharka. The area offers jaw-dropping vistas of glaciers and high peaks, along with cultural exploration.

Accommodation: Teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa

 

Day 7: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) to Nyengang Kharka (4430m) – 5 hrs

 

Leaving the main valley trail, we trek southeast into more remote terrain. The trail gradually climbs to Nyengang Kharka, a yak pasture beneath the Ganja La Pass. Views become increasingly dramatic, with fewer trekkers on this path.

Accommodation: Tented camp at Nyengang Kharka

 

Day 8: Trek from Nyengang Kharka (4430m) to Keldang (4270m) via Ganja La Pass (5130m) – 7–8 hrs

 

Today is the most challenging and rewarding day. We ascend steeply to Ganja La Pass (5130m), where breathtaking Himalayan views greet us. After celebrating the crossing, we descend through snowy ridges and rocky paths to Keldang.

Day 9: Trek from Keldang (4270m) to Dhukpa (4040m) – 6 hrs

The trail undulates through remote alpine terrain, descending and climbing through untouched ridgelines and yak grazing fields. You’ll enjoy peaceful surroundings with glimpses of distant peaks as we make our way to Dhukpa.

Accommodation: Teahouse or tented camp in Dhukpa

 

Day 10: Trek from Dhukpa (4040m) to Tarkeghyang (2600m) – 6 hrs

 

Today we descend through pine and rhododendron forests into the beautiful Helambu region. Tarkeghyang is a traditional Hyolmo village with stone houses and a large Buddhist monastery, offering insight into the local way of life.

Accommodation: Teahouse in Tarkeghyang

 

Day 11: Trek from Tarkeghyang (2600m) to Sermathang (2590m) – 4–5 hrs

 

We follow a relatively easy trail across gentle hills and villages, passing chortens and mani walls. Sermathang is a large settlement with welcoming locals, monastery visits, and distant views of Dorje Lhakpa and Ganesh Himal.

Day 12: Trek from Sermathang (2590m) to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (870m) – 5 hrs

 

A final day of trekking through terraced fields and Tamang settlements brings us to Melamchi Pul Bazaar. The trail descends steadily as the terrain becomes warmer and more fertile.

Day 13: Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar (870m) to Kathmandu (1400m) – 5 hrs

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu through the mid-hills of Nepal. Once back in the capital, you’ll have time to relax and shopping

Day 14: Final Departure

 

As per your flight time, we will transfer you to the airport. Depart Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Langtang wilderness and high Himalayan adventure.
