Located within the Makalu-Barun National Park, this trek takes you from lush tropical forests and terraced farmlands to stark alpine landscapes at the foot of the world’s fifth-highest mountain, Makalu (8,485m). Over 19 days, you’ll pass through culturally rich villages, traverse high mountain passes, and witness dramatic views of Everest, Lhotse, Baruntse, and the Makalu massif. This is a challenging yet rewarding trek for seasoned hikers seeking solitude, unspoiled wilderness, and authentic Himalayan culture.
