Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. After check-in, take time to relax or explore the nearby streets. In the evening, join a detailed trek briefing where you’ll meet your guide, check gear, and prepare for the adventure. Enjoy a welcome dinner and soak in the vibrant energy of the city, a fascinating blend of ancient culture and modern buzz.

We leave Kathmandu for a scenic, full-day drive through lush hills, riversides, and traditional villages. The road traces the Trishuli and Budhi Gandaki rivers, passing through Arughat and Soti Khola. Expect the road to turn rugged and adventurous as we near Machha Khola, a small riverside village and our trek’s starting point. Settle in at a local teahouse and rest up for the trail ahead.

We begin trekking along the Budhi Gandaki, crossing suspension bridges and winding through narrow gorges and small villages like Khorlabesi and Tatopani. After passing through Doban and Yaruphant, we climb uphill to reach Jagat, a stone-paved village known for its cultural significance and entry checkpoint to the Manaslu Conservation Area. Enjoy views of waterfalls and terraced hillsides along the way.

Today’s trail passes through charming villages like Salleri, Sirdibas, and Philim with beautiful fields and Buddhist chortens. After Philim, we enter a narrow, forested gorge and descend toward the river. We cross multiple suspension bridges and bamboo groves before gradually ascending to Deng. This small settlement offers insight into Tibetan-influenced culture and traditional stone houses.

The trail continues through dense forests, waterfalls, and charming hamlets like Rana and Bihi Phedi. As we climb higher, mountain views become more frequent. We pass through Ghap village with its mani walls and Tibetan Buddhist influence. The final ascent brings us to Namrung, a culturally rich village with panoramic views of Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal.

A short but scenic day as we ascend past lush forests, stone-carved villages, and prayer walls. We pass through Sho and Shyala villages, enjoying incredible vistas of Mt. Manaslu, Naike Peak, and more. By early afternoon, we arrive in Lho, home to the stunning Ribung Monastery and traditional Tibetan architecture. Rest and enjoy the tranquil mountain surroundings.

We walk through yak pastures and into Shyala village with its 360° views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Peak 29. From here, the trail continues to Samagaon, one of the region’s largest and most scenic villages. Its monastery, mani walls, and cultural richness make it a highlight of the trek. Snowy peaks rise behind wooden houses, creating postcard-like views.

This is a rest day for altitude adjustment. You can relax or take optional hikes: Visit serene Birendra Lake, hike to the spiritual Pungen Monastery, or ascend toward Manaslu Base Camp if conditions allow. These excursions provide acclimatization and offer stunning views of glaciers and towering peaks. Return to Samagaon and explore its rich cultural life.

Today we follow a high-altitude trail through juniper forests and past long mani walls. As the tree line disappears, we enter alpine meadows leading to Samdo, a remote village just 4km from the Tibetan border. Watch yaks grazing, visit a local gompa, and enjoy panoramic views of Manaslu, Samdo Peak, and more. This highland village is peaceful and rich in cultural depth.

We cross glacial streams and traverse barren landscapes toward Larkya Phedi (also known as Dharamshala), the final overnight stop before crossing the pass. The terrain is rocky, windswept, and spectacularly dramatic. Basic but cozy lodges await. Rest early to prepare for tomorrow’s big ascent over Larkya La Pass.

We start before sunrise to cross Larkya La Pass, the highest and most thrilling point of the trek. A gradual but steady ascent rewards us with breathtaking views of Himlung, Kang Guru, Annapurna II, and Cheo Himal. The descent is long but scenic, through glaciers and high meadows until we reach Bimthang—a broad valley of snow and stone. Rest and reflect on the epic day.

A well-deserved downhill walk through rhododendron forests, alpine pastures, and cascading rivers. We pass through Yak Kharka and cross wooden bridges over clear mountain streams. Enjoy the changing vegetation and warmer climate. We arrive at Tilje, a Gurung village known for hospitality and traditional houses, marking the end of our trek.

After a short trek to Dharapani, we hop on a private or shared jeep for the long but scenic drive back to either Kathmandu or Pokhara. Along the way, enjoy last glimpses of terraced fields, waterfalls, and rural Nepal. Once in the city, relax at your hotel and celebrate your successful completion of the Manaslu Circuit.
