Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu (1,330m)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our Nona getaways team will greet you and transfer you to your 5-star hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. Take the rest of the day to rest or explore the nearby streets of Thamel at your own pace. Later in the evening, you’ll meet your trekking team for a group orientation, where the guide will explain your journey ahead, answer questions, and ensure you’re well-prepared. This evening also includes a special welcome dinner, offering a taste of Nepalese cuisine and an opportunity to meet fellow trekkers. Relax and prepare for the Himalayan adventure ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Pokhara – Drive to Kimche – Trek to Ghandruk (2,050m)

 

After breakfast,  a scenic flight to Pokhara, enjoying Himalayan views. From there, drive to Kimche, the trekking start point. Begin your trek through terraced fields and forests, arriving at Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village. Explore its culture or relax at an eco-lodge while soaking in stunning mountain views.

Day 3: Trek to Tadapani (2,650m) through Rhododendron Forests

Leave Ghandruk behind and ascend gradually through one of the most beautiful rhododendron forests in the Himalayas. The trail winds beneath tall trees, with colorful flowers, birdsong, and distant waterfalls enriching the journey. Tadapani, a small hamlet surrounded by deep forest, offers panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare. Settle into your mountain lodge and enjoy the tranquility of the setting, far from the noise of the city.

Day 4: Rhododendron Retreat in Tadapani

Today offers a relaxed pace as you soak in the natural beauty around Tadapani. Wake up to breathtaking mountain views and enjoy a slow morning breakfast. You can take a short nature walk through blooming rhododendron groves, photograph vibrant flora, or simply relax and admire the alpine environment. This gentle day is designed for acclimatization and rejuvenation, allowing your body to adapt while your senses delight in the forest’s fragrance and serenity. Spend time connecting with fellow trekkers or journaling your experiences. In the evening, gather for a warm dinner in the lodge, listening to the quiet hum of the forest.

Day 5: Trek to Deurali (2,960m) – Forest and Mountain Views
Today’s trail climbs gently through lush forests and rhododendron-covered ridges. As you trek higher, the landscape opens up to reveal sweeping views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The walk is peaceful and not too steep, making it ideal for trekkers over 50. You’ll pass small clearings and occasional herder huts along the way. Upon reaching the quiet village of Deurali, settle into your eco-lodge nestled in the trees. From here, the golden sunset paints the sky above the mountains, offering a perfect moment of reflection. Deurali’s peaceful atmosphere is ideal for rest and reconnecting with nature.

Day 6: Trek to Ghorepani (2,880m) – Himalayan Culture and Comfort

Today’s journey takes you through thick forest and along gentle ridges as you make your way to Ghorepani, a popular resting village on the Annapurna trail. Known for its hospitality, vibrant culture, and colorful shops, Ghorepani offers a comfortable base with beautiful views. Along the way, enjoy glimpses of traditional village life, listen to birdcalls echoing through the trees, and take breaks at forest teahouses.

Day 7: Sunset at Poon Hill – Trek to Upper Phulbari (2,950m)

Skip the early morning crowds and ascend Poon Hill in the peaceful afternoon. From the summit (3,210m), enjoy a stunning sunset view over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. The golden light on snow-covered peaks is a moment to cherish. Afterward, leave the main trail and follow a forested route to the hidden gem of Upper Phulbari. This secluded camp is far from the usual tourist path, providing tranquility and uninterrupted mountain views.

Day 8: Optional Hike to Mohare Danda – Return to Ghorepani

For those feeling energetic, start early for an optional hike to Mohare Danda (3,300m), a less-visited ridge offering sweeping Himalayan vistas. This viewpoint rivals Poon Hill but with fewer crowds, ideal for those seeking solitude and photography opportunities. After enjoying the views, return to Upper Phulbari for breakfast and then trek back to Ghorepani.

Day 9: Trek to Ulleri (1,960m) – Downhill through Hills and Villages

Today’s trek is a gentle descent through stone staircases and terraced hillsides, passing through dense forests and charming villages. You’ll walk through scenic landscapes and witness daily village life. The air becomes warmer as you lose altitude. Arrive in Ulleri, a traditional Magar village known for its picturesque location and warm hospitality. With expansive views of the surrounding hills and farmlands, Ulleri is a delightful resting spot before ending the trek. Enjoy your evening at a cozy lodge with a hearty meal, reflecting on the journey so far.

Day 10: Trek to Tirkhedhunga – Drive to Pokhara

Your final trekking day involves a short, scenic descent to Tirkhedhunga. Walk through rice terraces, suspension bridges, and forests filled with birdsong. After reaching Tirkhedhunga, your private vehicle will drive you back to Pokhara—a vibrant lakeside city surrounded by mountains. Check into your comfortable hotel and spend the afternoon by the peaceful Phewa Lake, exploring the lakeside cafes, artisan shops, or taking a relaxing boat ride. This return to modern comforts after your trek is a well-earned reward. Enjoy a restful evening in one of Nepal’s most charming and picturesque cities.

Day 11: Fly Back to Kathmandu – Relax and Reflect

After breakfast, board a short and scenic flight to Kathmandu, soaring once more past the snowy Himalayas. Upon arrival, return to your 5-star hotel and enjoy free time for last-minute souvenir shopping, spa visits, or sightseeing. You might visit heritage site or stroll the vibrant streets of Thamel. This is your chance to unwind, reflect on your journey, and soak in the final moments of Nepalese culture and hospitality. In the evening, you may gather with your group for a farewell or choose to relax privately. Your mountain adventure winds down in comfort and peace.

After the breakfast in Nepal we transfer you to the international airport for your onward journey.  Depart with cherished memories of Himalayan sunrises, blooming forests, warm village welcomes, and a personal sense of accomplishment.
