Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive Kathmandu (1,400m)
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner and briefing.
Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,652m)
Early morning flight to Lukla. Begin trek through pine forests to Phakding.
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Cross the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge. Steep climb to Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatisation day – Namche Bazaar
Rest day. Optional hike to Everest View Hotel for first Everest glimpses.
Namche to Tengboche (3,867m)
Trek through rhododendron forests to Tengboche Monastery.
Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m)
Cross the Imja Khola and ascend to the Khumbu valley.
Acclimatisation – Dingboche
Hike to the ridge above Dingboche for acclimatisation.
Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)
Walk along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier.
Lobuche to Gorak Shep – EBC (5,364m)
Trek to Gorak Shep, then continue to Everest Base Camp. Return to Gorak Shep.
Gorak Shep – Kala Patthar – Pheriche
Sunrise ascent to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for panoramic Everest views. Descend to Pheriche.
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Long descent back to the Sherpa capital.
Namche to Lukla (2,840m)
Final day of trekking. Celebrate with fellow trekkers in Lukla.
Fly Lukla to Kathmandu
Morning flight back to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner.
Departure
Transfer to international airport. Safe travels!
